You will most likely make your own breakfast in your Suite’s kitchen, and you might grab lunch on the road while exploring the island. But for dinner, why cook when there are so many great restaurants within 5 to 15 minutes’ walk?
Nearby, you will find small local down to earth restaurants with basic decor and seating arrangements, but good service and tasty and inexpensive food.
Naturally, you can also choose restaurant that are targetted towards tourists that provide a pleasant ambience, more intimate settings, and a good selection of wine and cocktails.
They may provide specialised cuisine such as Indian, Chinese or seafood. If you are looking for something fast and familiar then you will also find fast-food such as KFC, McDonald’s, and Pizza Hut in addition to the local and regional brands.
People staying in a resort that are contented with the provided entertainment may miss out on the life after dark in Grand Bay.
Nightlife in Grand Bay is considered more hip than that of the hotels, with some great bars and clubs offering DJs and live music. We do recommend that you visit those that are nearby so that you can walk back home more easily, for example you can try Luigi and Bottegitta next to Store 2000, the Banana Café (which offers live music), and Zanzibar (access through Banana Café).
There is also a sports bar if you are ready for a longer 15 minutes’ walk to the Beach Hut, located right on the seaside, and great for a sundowner.
